So far, it’s a little too straight action for me. I was hoping for either a spy thriller or more supernatural elements. I feel like I’ve seen this many, many times, and it’s a little better than average because Coulson is played slightly off kilter and Skye is refreshing, and there’s a Marvel connection, but if this is all there is it’s going to lose steam quickly. I think next week we need to see a big bad mysteriously and partially revealed only to the viewer, and probably some bait and switch showing that Skye is possibly a double agent embedded to flush out another double agent on the team. I’d like A.I.M. to be the big bad, and I’m hoping that one of the tech geeks turns out to be a double agent. Just enough to shake it up from week to week so that it doesn’t fall into a boring procedural rut.
